All the activities relating to the printing and distribution of tickets are under the direct control of the government. Name of the lottery, number, date of draw, ticket number etc. will be there in the front side of each ticket, while the opposite side gives information on the prize structure and how to claim the prize. The department now brings weekly tickets, worth Rs. 10 bi weekly tickets worth Rs.20/-and bumper tickets worth Rs.30/-, Rs.50/- and Rs.100/-rupees.

The number of tickets to be printed and the number of series are decided by the DSL. The department has taken all possible steps for secure printing. Printing work is entrusted with the government press Mannanthala and Kerala Books and Publications Society Kakkanad Kochi.

The tickets are printed as books with 25 tickets in each one, in the case of weekly lotteries and 10 tickets in the case of bumper lotteries. These books are then transferred to the lottery department. There it is carefully examined and details of the tickets are entered into the register. The tickets are then disbursed to the District Lottery offices from the lottery directorate and the regional deputy directorate. Once it reaches district offices, it is again scrutinized, and the department’s seal is stamped on it. The counterfoil is then taken off and the ticket is supplied to agents. In ticket were barcoding is adopted affixing office seal is avoided.
